Memories.

Lately I’ve been feeling bad about not being able to visit ma and pa. I’ve been homesick and worried sick about them.

A few weeks ago there was a string of robberies at our hometown and ma was calling me at 2am ‘cause she couldn’t sleep. She was worried sick. My dad is our hero so when something’s wrong he’ll be the first person to go out and fight for us. I love this side about him but, it’s also one of the main reasons why I get so worried about him!

Anyway, a client just came in and started talking about her pregnancy. She also shared how her mother’s strong desire to see her granddaughter made her defy the 3 month deadline that her doctor gave her. Amazing what our desires can do. It doesn’t only give us strength but it can also stop cancer from spreading, long enough for you to see your family.

Her story made me think about how I came about into this world. I’m the youngest of 5 and I was the only one who was brought to the city hospital since Ma was having a hard time. So, they traveled to the city during a storm and then they found out the bridge couldn’t be used. They took a small boat to cross the tiny (i think) river.

After the successful delivery Ma was back to her room recovering. It was then that she had a dream about her prayer group and herself. They were in a sinking ship and when they were already in the water, they decided to pray the rosary to give them hope. She woke up while she was reciting the Ave Maria. So, i think this is why i got the name Eva Marie.

After that weird dream, the storm already passed but, it left us with one more crazy memory.

Apparently, while the wind was beating down on the building, the fluorescent light above my crib was loose. A few minutes later, it came crashing down inches away from the sleeping me. Imagine, I could’ve suffered severe burns or I couldn’t died.Whew!

—-I saved this as a draft a few days back now here are some updates.

The robberies are still ongoing and they actually hit Del Monte’s bungalow. Gotta confirm that though. My cousin suffered some serious burns when her oven decided to betray her. Right at this hour, they’re having another family “reunion” for one of my closest cousin. I’m hungry and they’re there enjoying the Lechon, Spaghetti, cake, fruits etc etc etc. T___T

I wanna hug ma and pa right now.

Anwyay, back to work.

*sigh.

Reblog if you miss a friendship you had with someone but you don't think it can ever be how it used to.
